No — and we want to be honest about that. The scanner identifies pins, it doesn't authenticate them. Scrapper detection is a hard problem and we'd rather ship nothing than ship something unreliable. Treat the scanner as identification, not authentication.

It identifies most pins from a clear photo within seconds. For tricky angles, worn pins, or rare backstamps, it shows you the most likely matches and you pick the right one. Accuracy keeps improving as the reference database grows.

Yes — that's where we test it most. It handles indoor lighting, midday sun, and pins worn on a lanyard from a bit of a distance. One-handed, phone case on, lanyard moving — that's the real-world we built for. Heavy glare or pins behind plastic still trips it; pull the pin out for those.

Private by default. Your pins and boards are visible only to you unless you explicitly mark a board public. You control what — if anything — appears on your collector profile. We never share your collection data with anyone.

We're a small team and chose to nail the iOS experience first. Android users can use the Web App today — full collection, boards, wishlist, and trading features. A native Android app is on the roadmap but not yet committed to a date.

Yes — your collection lives in your account, not on a single device. Sign in on iPhone, iPad, Android, or desktop and everything is there: pins, boards, wishlist, trades. Switch phones, share with a partner, scan from your iPad on the couch — same collection, everywhere.

We're going to be straight: we can't promise forever. What we can promise is that we're indie — no VC, no acquisition plans, no growth-at-all-costs board breathing down our necks. Pindorado runs as long as collectors keep paying for it. We're building the kind of app we'd want to use ourselves for the next decade.

If we ever wind down, we commit to giving 90 days notice and keeping the export endpoint open through that window. Your data is yours — exportable as CSV/JSON. We won't sell your data, ever.

Yes. Cancel from the app or your App Store subscription settings. You keep Premium access until the end of your current billing period. No refund games, no retention pop-ups.
